Went to Jake's last night for Chris's birthday party. It must have been THE MOST ridiculous experience I've had at a bar in my life. First of all- it's a BAR- NOT A CLUB. We had to wait outside in order to get into the "bar", and there were "bouncers". Keep in mind that 70% of the people are sitting outside in the patio, which also happens to be just the lawn in front of the house (Jake's is actually an old house converted into a bar). Anyway, so if there was a fire or any type of emergency- it wouldn't be very hard for people to escape, because they were not even sitting in the house/bar to begin with. OHMYGOODNESS.
I've never had to wait in front of a bar before to get in. IT WAS A MISSION. So we sit down, have a few drinks, and just when everything seemed to be going well some dudes from across the "lawn" decides to hit on us, which is fine if they're doing it intelligently.
Dude #1: So, what are you girls doing after this?
Wyn: We're going home.
Dude #1: Oh really, we're going swimming! Want to join us?
Wyn: (like seriously what the hell are you asking me)- No thanks, we're going home.
Asking women to go swimming with you the first time you see them is a sign of pure obnoxiousness and immaturity- please get your sh*t together before speaking to us.
The semester's almost over... So many assignments are due, but then again I'm relieved that Centennial is coming to an end. I miss UTSC.. I miss the teachers... I even miss the way the disgusting caffee smells during exams... I miss seeing people who don't wash their hair... I miss watching the students paint in the studio... I MISS THE WEIRD ARTISTS AT UTSC so very much. I'm too weird and different... I feel a bit like an outcast there. Everyone is really nice, and I'll miss them so much- but nothing will beat smelling acrylic paint in the studio (omg, can't believe I just said that). HAHAH.
I'm slowly driving myself insane. I LOVE LIFE. I love the people in my life. HAHAH. The Keg was good last night,
and to the guy who told me to stop smoking on the patio- "Remember, if
there is an astray, I will smoke. Don't tell me to stop smoking when
there's an astray- that's like having to dance without a dancer."
Anyway, my work here is done... I need sleep.
