I Survived

So I survived the first week of school... Despite the total runaround I did with my class swapping-- dropping and adding--- buying the wrong books--- geting back $29.30 from the University for my books- which I paid over $200 for... YES (the damn school paid me $1.25 for my Hemmingway novel -- OMFG).

I've decided to drop an intro to art history, because really I've actually taken that course four years ago, but with another professor and different textbooks. I could still recall waking up at 7am in order to arrive ontime for the 9am class with (at that time) the rest of the arts management crew. Till this day I believe that I've indeed made the right decision to switch to New Media... this is exactly where I want to be- and, as my professor puts it- it is indeed my "obession".... Scary stuff!

So I traded my art history course for a course dealing with deviance and normality... very interesting material. I've only started reading the intro, and for some odd reason- reading about prostitutes, homewreckers, cheaters, and criminals is very interesting!!! And the best part is that the textbook was under $100. HHAHAHA - no, really this is a great course. However discovering that mental illnesses and self-mutilation are actually "deviant" ... is a bit shocking to me since yeah... *ah-hem* - well- I suppose it'll act as motivation for me to read the rest of the chapters (s)
