Sometimes being too consumed in; well in this case MYSELF isn't such a great idea. I stressed my )(*$@() off today because my not so dilligent banker messed up my loan for the third time in a row, and as panic rose I decided to call the TD customer service line to plead for help, and he was super empathetic and explained all the options available to me. To make a long story short- the banker (or whatever) finally got back to me and told me that she had fixed everything. Anyway, so the night went on, and I couldn't get that thought over my head - how could ANYONE be so careless? And why the heck were we all becoming so much more easily agitated than before. Every little setback would cause so much agony, stress and hair loss.... Have we just gotten so used to this fast and guaranteed world of high technology, such as high-speed internet, fast pizza, fast food, fast everything-- that we can no longer handle little setbacks?....
What will happen to our kids? Is technology moving faster than our human capicity... has it not given our bodies, our mental selves to evolve then adapt... What has happened to us? We hear so much about mental illnesses, anxiety and depression, and most of that is caused my stress. Stress though, is so much easier to trigger now than before... people in the past seemed to be more patient, and they knew how to manage things... People probably lost less hair too :(
That's totally what I'm not trying to get at.
So I got this random email today from U of T's school council about the negligence of the Bush administration. I am SO NOT into politics, but I was curious to see what the video was about. For the first time.. I think that I've decided to give a DAMN about what is happening outside of myself, and this startling revelation frightened me.

C'mon people- I'm sure that I'm not the only one that isn't into current events. It's time that I become less ignorant, less selfish, but instead more informed.
